According to a report from Chinese-speaking ePrice, since the recently unveiled Sony XPERIA Z3+ (shown below) is the exact same device as the XPERIA Z4, which was unveiled in Japan, the successor of the Z3+ will be XPERIA Z5.
It is still a mystery when we’ll get to see the XPERIA Z5, but we’re guessing we’ll see the rumoured upcoming flagship before the end of 2015.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Sony XPERIA Z3+, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch Triluminos screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (pixel density of 424 ppi), a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (support for as much as 128 GB), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2,930 mAh battery. It has an IP 65/68 rating for dust and waterproofing. IP68 means that the phone can be submerged in water as deep as 3 meters (9.8 feet) without getting damaged. It measures 146.3 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm and weighs in at 144 g. It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. It will be launched globally in June.
